Curve SIM SOS?

Every couple of days I get an SIM card "SOS" at the top right hand corner of
my Curve where the GPRS or EDGE bars should be.

Essentially when this occures, no calls or email comes through.

Does anyone know what it may be? It really bothers me since I find myself looking at my device a lot more than I should to check if it is working?

May sure the SIM slot is locked in. It may just be moving and coming loose.

Do you have manual network selection turned on? You may be locked on to a network that your carrier does not have a roaming agreement with. That's why you are limited to emergency calls only (SOS).

thats also i sign of you being out of range for reception. i get this daily at work since im in a hospital all day and the walls are so thick that no cell phone recpetion gets by. but whenever i get close to a window or close to the exit doors i get it all back
