Theres a 2nd mic just right under the hinge... on the 902 903 and the 904

what's that for?
anyone?

for talking when the phone is folded with the screen facing up as there is no mic on the screen portion.

Toshiba 904t has it also, but its on the top flip instead.

nope

i dont have it installed and when its flipped around it still works

try again lol

Yeah I've noticed it too. I thought it was the same thing as what aw614 said. Both mics work excellent even though the phone is closed. Azn what do you mean you don't have it installed?

It's exactly as aw614 says. I've tested this out already in the past, when the screen is flipped around the outer mic deactivates and the one near the hinge turns on. It's only for this purpose, nothing more

but how can you answer or make calls? It is easy to do? I haven't tried it, but I might - looks like it might be fun.

You can't actually dial in numbers in the screen-on-outside mode but you can always go to your phone book and look up contacts. For the 903sh, the red key on the side acts as right soft key, the blue key acts as your D-pad middle button, the key between the volume keys and the blue key ats as the left soft key, the DOWN volume key acts as the UP key on your Dpad and the UP volume key acts as DOWN on your Dpad. It seems like the only thing you can't do without your actually keypad is dial in a number and choose between the phone's memory and the card memory in the gallery.

edit: If you want to answer an incoming call, you press the blue button. To reject an incoming call, press red.

its easy, plus sometimes I rather have it folded and talking on it like that b/c doesnt feel as large and more like a thick candy bar phone

um ....

well i switched the housing and left out the 2nd mic lol so its just in my spare housing

and now even when i have the phone in the "camera" mode other ppl can still here me
IF you say it deactivates one and switches on the other ..... shouldnt that make the phone silent? and the person on the other line wont be able to hear it?

it just puzzles me lol

oh well it still works but yea ... i uno lol

Posted by: azn_boi_128

actualy holding the phone while its in camera mode and answer calls is extrememly uncomfortable

the phone feels even bigger in your hand and w/ the camera right in your palm it feels really big

but yea on a side note the person on the other line cant hear you all that well its not the best way to answer a call.

I only use for camera, and music thats it lol

Why do you use it for music though? How do you change songs when its in camera mode?

Posted by: azn_boi_128

once in music player

red to go back volume buttons to scroll thru the list and green button to select song

this only works if when you open music player instead of selecting last played you select my music

Well when I tested it I used to blow into both mics, and the hinge mic came out way louder than the regular one, so I thought the hinge mic was just picking up the sound of me blowing into the normal one. Maybe it's left on but with lowered sensitivity or something.

Simple, use the ZTBAA1 LCD remote to change song. I always did that.
