HTC 6800 power/data questions

I have a couple of questions about the Bell HTC 6800:

1) Is there any way to use the red or green phone buttons to turn on/off/lock the device a la the Treo 700 (Instead of the on/off button on the side)?

2) I can't seem to find a data usage calc/tool to monitor my monthly usage - is it built in or might there be a 3rd party app?

Thanks for the help!

Not that I am aware of. I've looked around but can't find a way to do it.

Not the simplest method, but you can use this: Every Sprint phone tracks its lifetime usage and you can fetch this information by going into the Phone application and keying in ##786#. You'll see Life Timer (voice airtime) and the Life Data Received and Transmitted. As for the voice airtime timer, remember this figure isn't rounded up so it won't match what Sprint says you use. The data figures, however, are accurate.

They aren't resettable, so I guess you'd just want to look at the figures at the beginning of each month. There are a number of third-party applications out there that track data usage on Windows Mobile, but I don't know if they will work on a CDMA device (all seem to be written for GSM devices).
