mp3 saved in "my sounds" not "my ringtones" - how do I make it a ringtone on 9800?

firstly, this is a great forum.

secondly, I have followed all the directions posted here and uploaded an mp3 file onto my verizon 9800. The mp3 is saved under "my sounds" though and not "my ringtones." Thus, I can not use the sound as a ringtone. How can I move the file, so I can use it is a ringtone?

thanks!

Email the file to yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com , or you Bitpim to transfer the ringtone to your phone.

Emailing as a pix message doesn't work for the 9800. It will only allow it to be saved to My Sounds.

that's correct, you'll have to use Bitpim and cable to get the file from My Sounds to the the Ringtone folder.

After that search the forums for "8550 ringtones" and I'm sure you'll find alot of helpful threads on the subject.
