The V3A is their newest V3 series phone, and MPT is not exactly fully compatible with it yet, and the guys over at the bvrp forums know this. As for the other softwares out their like bitpim, there is no guarantee they will work fully with a cdma phone anyway, so one cannot expect much yet. As far as the data cable goes, the only one guaranteed to work with this phone too is the snk6371c part numbered one, not the a or b one, believe me as I have an "a" cable and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesen't.

It's all about soaking you for every cent they can. Many thanks to charlesisabunny for pointing me in the right direction, it worked like a charm. Not as easy as having a phone that actually just does it, but still better than paying Alltel $3.00 for a 18 second soundbyte. |
