i recently got a dash and its been giving me a headache ever since!
i like the phone but im having a real problem watching movies...i got a 2gig card,
only way for me to watch a movie is to transfer the movie thru activesync but the thing is, i cant transfer big files thru activesync bcuz it keeps restarting the process over. I have a card reader and i am transferring it over fine but my movie players wont play it?? im using tcpmp and windows media. I even tried a converter for the tcpmp and it still doesnt work, it says unknown file format? and i tried a 3gp movie converter which it still wont work, can anyone help me plzz?

It would help if you put down the file format of the files you transferred via card reader to your sd card. As for the activesync large file thing, there is no solution to that yet.

I used Super from erightsoft (free). I started with VOB files from my DVD recorder/player. Give it a try

firstly. format the movies to the correct size. 320X240.
then encode them at 128 kb for audio and up to 256 kb for video. this will yield a video about 300mb in size (for a 2 hr movie).
transfer it to SD card via card reader.
make sure tcpmp has all the appropriate file associations IE: avi, wmv, mpg etc.
good luck

Return it. What kind of card reader were you using? I've messed up a few cards in my day. return it and follow these steps for the new card. Make sure before you remove it from the card reader, that the computer has completely finished transferring any files to the sd. Eject it using the icon in the lower right hand corner, and only remove it once it says it is now safe to remove. You could also right click the drive and hit eject.
