Wife needs new phone....Suggestions?

Mod Note: This is posted in 2 areas because it involves phones from each sub forum and you won't all me to post in the main area so here we go. Also we are AT&T customers!

I'm curious as to what are the best phones available right now.

First my wife is by no means a power user. She has went through a couple Razr's over the past few years and it seems the last a year and crap out.

So here we are again and I think we are going to stay away from them.

I took her to the store and she expressed interest in the following phones.

1. Samsung A717
2. Treo 680 (Crimson)

They didn't have it there but I would a Blackjack might be another good choice or maybe even a BB Curve.

My 1st question is. If she gets a BB type phone I know you need to have BB plan. So she'll have to get her own data plan.

I have an unlimited plan on my 8125 so does that mean she can also use this plan. I would most likely just buy the phone off fleabay and change out the Sim.

If this is the case then I'll lean her more towards the phones that are labled PDA and not BB so she can share my plan.

Or do we both have to get our plan.

Again she's not power use. Mostly I could see her rarely using the net and maybe having email from her gmail account.

IF her work will let her she might appreciate having the calendar sync to her outlook at work.

Primarily she uses it as a phone.

We like to not spend over $250 if possible.
