for the retractable one, how does it retract?

i never used that one i use the regular one but i would assume you plug it in your phone and the mic/answer button retract to clip on your shirt.

Yeah but.. does the wire actually restracts or do you wind it up or sommething? I don't see a button on the device that would make it 'retract'

You just pull each end apart a little and it unlocks the retracting mechanism and winds up... kind of like window mini blinds, you pull it a little and then it unlocks.

I'm up in the air as to wether or not i'm keeping my Dash. But I do listen to music on it on a daily basis, so I might invest in one of these converters

I got a triple adapter. It has 3 jacks: mini usb charger, 3.5mm headphone, and the OEM headset jack. It's a little bit bigger than the plain headset adapter but when i drive for 8-10 hours in my car I use my dash for music (no cd player) and so i can plug in the tape deck adapter to the headphone jack and keep it charging at the same time. Look up one of those.

I bought a jack along with an FM transmitter for my car...Sucks, just like I knew it would.

The jack isn't the problem, it's the $10 chinese FM adapter.

The simple cassette tape type adaptors work very well. The sound quality is excellent. I got mine for $5 at a "5 below" store. I have used a FM type too. Lots of noise; PIA to choose the frequency.

i had an fm transmitter but I had to hold it or keep it tuucked under my leg when I drove to get it to work. POS if you ask me. Luckily I drive an old car with a tape deck.
