(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

A lot of native iPhone applications are being created and some that could be quite useful aren't getting enough publicity.

MobileMoney
A financial manager for the iPhone, currently only capable of managing one account
http://code.google.com/p/mobilemoney/

DOOM
Not ported yet, but looks promising
http://code.google.com/p/iphonedoom/

eBook Reader
An ebook reader for the iPhone. Currently has somewhat limited format support
http://code.google.com/p/iphoneebooks/

iPhoneNES
An NES emulator for the iPhone

Will update as I find more

All I wanna know is wtf did they get screen capture?!

Posted by: JerryNY

Some made a screen cap app for the iphone. I'll post the link if I run across it again.

Erica Saudin who made that also made a voice recorder app among other iphone hackery. She has been a busy little bee it seems

Yeah but for people who make NES emulators or voice recording apps it is a piece of cake to use

Posted by: deanfx

the nes emulator is the shizzle, but i dont want to risk staying up all night fixing my phone when i break it. i had one on a treo and a blackberry and if wasnt worth the hastle. know what i mean

I think installing these apps has become pretty easy if you have an intel mac. I haven't wanted to take the time to learn to do it with the available windows tools, but i might give it a try this weekend.

I don't understand how to install the nes emulator can someone go into detail for installing it?

Scroll through that and you'll be able to figure it out

I put the mobile money app on my phone and I can launch it but from there it is unresponsive. I'm guessing there is more to this than creating a money.app folder in /applications and copying the files there?

CHMod folder and files to 0777 and try it out.

Posted by: XanderMac

Excellent, Thank you, that worked perfectly. Now my only issue is that the program doesn't save any data so I imagine I need to find the files it creates and change permissions on those too?

Posted by: XanderMac

ok, sorted. I had to create a folder in /VAR/root/library called Money and set permissions so that the program could place its files. 3rd party apps are fine and all but without instructions are pretty mean to figure out for an average guy like me.

I think the package manager/installer qualifies as a 3rd party app, no? and then you dont need to deal in SSHing anymore...
