Hi guys!

I just got my S500i today, finally figured out how to get it to read my SIM (yes, I'm a complete dork!)... I've noticed quite a few posts around both here and elsewhere saying that certain weeks' versions of the S500 have bad keys that crack? How do you know which 'version' of the S500 you have?

I'm sorry if it's a really obvious question, but I'm very bad with technology

The week of manufacture is on the sticker under the battery. It will have it in the format '07WXX', where 'XX' is the week of manufacture.

I have had my green S500i about 10 days and I just noticed a hairline crack in the '2' key, and I don't consider myself a heavy texter (less than 10 a day). My phone has a manufacture date of 07W27. Guess it's going off to SE for a vacation

Edit: more than hairline, the key's completely cracked. Bah.

mine is week 28 and i have hairlines crack on some keys too
