Hello,

I have a nokia 8800. I want to flash the software to the newest one

1) what do i need? I searched for cables, but they don't seem to be physically able to fit in the phones port to flash?
2) where can i get the monster packs (im used to motorola flashing) or phone software files (if it's allowed)
3) can i flash or mod the software to make it quadband or accept 850 band, because i use cingular and I get bad connection.

thank you for any help

1) NO end-user specific cable, only those home-brew ones using test points in the battery silo that mimic the Nokia proprietary service cable not available to the public.
2) NO, it's NOT Motorola we're dealing w/ !
3) NO, it's NOT Motorola we're dealing w/ ! It's lack the actual hardware like SAW filters and other components. Read more at http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=866512

Flashing a DCT-4 generation Nokia model requires Nokia only flashing equipments including several dongles, cables, flash box and data package. There're 3rd party solutions (like JAF, Griffin) but never sanctioned by Nokia.
