There is a switch in the socket that turns off the earpeice and mic on the phone itself when that switch is tripped. A couple people have had that switch get stuck, which leaves the earpiece disabled. Try inserting and removing your headphones a few times before you get restore or return happy! |
You just saved me a 3-hour trip! The only thing I can think of is that I used a tape adapter in a U-haul truck, but the cable didn't fit. I had it on Speakerphone then so I wouldn't have noticed that the earpiece didn't work; I charged it up right after that, which is when it froze up for about a half-hour. Lesson learned: an ill-fitting headphone cable can trip the earpiece switch and cause it to be disabled until you can trip it again with a cable that fits to re-enable the earpiece. Thanks so much!
