Do you ever have trouble unlocking the phone with the software slider?

Both my wife's iPhone and my iPhone occasionally are non-responsive to the unlock feature when you wake up the phone. We'll push the Home button to wake it up and then slide the button to unlock it, but it won't slide - it's like the screen is locked. Usually after a few tries it kicks in, but not always. Anyone else have this problem?

not sure if this is what u are talking about but sometimes when I press the home button to brig the phone out of standby the sceendoesnt turn on or does and freezes where the slider won't slide. But I don't have to try it a few times but rather wait a couple seconds for what seems like for the phone to catch up. I.e. Even though the slider doesnt slide in the screen ifbi do it anyway and give it a couple seconds the phones slider then slides and unlocks

I know exactly what you mean. The performance of the phone chokes and it freezes for about 20 sec. before it becomes responsive no? Basically, I believe all of the applications are running in the background. ... The one that probably takes up the most memory is safari browser. The way to "close" a program so that it won't run in the background is to hold the home button for about 6 seconds or a little more, something like that. Also what might help, now that i've noticed, I make it a routine to delete the cookies, history, and cache for safari browser, and i usually "close" the programs i knowi won't use for a while. hope this helps the performance of your phone.

Mine had done that OFTEN. So, I sent it back for replacement.
Not from too many programs open either. It has happened many times just minutes after a hard reset...

I have found that some devices can interfere with the touch screen or make it seem inoperable. A few are:

1) Ionic Breeze Air Purifier
2) some CRT monitors
3) some CRT TV's

Anyone else have this experience?

This would make sense. The above items deal with ionization, changing the charge of particles to achieve their ends. This would definitely affect how a capacitance-sensitive screen would operate.
