902SH - No "Use Proxy" under Internet Settings

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my Internet Settings. I read in numerous forums that there's an entry called "Use Proxy" under WAP Settings.

However, in my 902SH there's no such thing - when I create a new profile I just get to input its Profile Name and Proxy. Leaving Proxy blank causes the SW to reject the entry as no valid data has been input.

I tried to leave the proxy IP as 0.0.0.0, but that fails as well since the value is invalid.

I think I have a EU FW, but I don't know the version since the phone does not respond to the *01763*8371# (*01763*VER0#) sequence.

Any ideas?

If the phone doesn't respond to the firmware display code, then it's JP firmware.

Nonetheless as you say the 902 doesn't give you the option to ignore the proxy. This is because Vodafone uses proxies in their network configurations. The ability to ignore the proxy was added from the 903/703.

Sadly I don't know what to recommend here. Somebody else with a 902 may have a better idea...
