I heard that you can buy a Helio Ocean and connect it to a sprint account... wanted to confirm if thats true...

No.
Helio devices only work with Helio. However Helio utilizes Sprint's network for voice and data and Verizon's for voice roaming so that may be where you got that idea.

Oh i see its because i was informed that you can use the ESN on the back of the phone to connect it to my existing account because its the same brand of phone they use or something to that extent... but i guess i was missinformed...
