The Z6 is still new (as of July 2007), and there are a lot of questions going around about the firmware, anticipated firmware updates, flashing problems, etc.

I have Ver. R60_G_80.31.15R on my Z6 right now. I am pretty sure there is a newer 1 out. Does anyone know where to find it and how to update it. Thanks in advance.

R60_G_80.31.15R (Singtel unbranded) here too...

So far it's proven to be very stable - no problems whatsoever. Some of my quick observations and annoyances with that a firmware update could fix:

- VERY small font used when viewing multiple contact numbers under one name and the choice of colours to show the highlighted contact number is too similar to unselected contact numbers.
- No VM direct dial using #1 key
- Inability to scroll between recent callers or even messages (when viewing details of each)
- Recent calls lists all incoming/outgoing/missed calls - difficult to differentiate between these because the icons used are very similar
- Lack of slider action customizability (end task for certain functions but continue task for others)
- no "reminder" feature in "profiles" (example, for missed calls)
- can't customize right/left softkey

What I do like:
- pretty much everything else. The phone software is so customizable!!

motorola software update, updated my China Mobile branded firmware to 33.27R. (from the 31.17R i used that was floating on the internet)

Did anyone end up successfully using those monsterpacks that were available? I've heard way too many "it bricked me phone!!" responses, so was hesitant to try it.

I'm really sick of this ugly yellow&red China Mobile branding. Any ideas?

i didnt use a monsterpack but i did get the theme and power on options working

and makes a nice change

dont think ill try a monsterpack until

1. i get a spare phone
2. the changes in the monsterpack are great - i believe one of the monsterpacks allows video at 25fps
