Turn off 3g on v3xx?

Is there an easy way to turn it off, I don't want the phone to ever search for the network.

The phone doesn't seem to handle the 3g/edge hand off very well. And based off what seemed like rave reviews here and else where I've been recommending the phone to numerous people. Frankly, no one likes the phone. I think the issue is that most of these people live in fringe 3g areas and the phone just seems to really loves even the slimmest faintest reception of 3g over any other network.

There is not an easy way to turn off the 3G network. You can seem edit the phone to accomplish this, as explained in the thread at:
