I've bricked my i830 trying to upgrade software. Is there any hope of using it again?

Try following the directions on the main screen of the updater for recovering from a bad flash.

Can not get phone to turn on no matter what I try. If I can't get it to turn on, then I'm thinking I can not connect to computer. Any ideas??

If you've taken the battery out for a few minutes, then replaced it and it still doesnt power on......its over. Sorry
