Yup...Jivetalk even in Alpha as they're calling it wipes the floor with all the other iPhone chat sites IMHO.

iphone.beejive.com

I prefer Meebo over jivetalk. It is much faster on my phone IMO. I guess it is just a matter of preference.

I agree, it's MUCH faster than jivetalk. I prefer the meebo interface.

The only quibble is that you can't close out chat windows, weird?

Does it charge you a SMS per IM sent and received?

Posted by: jsmonet

if you're loading it via a web browser, one would think it just racks up data charges. since all of you are using these iPhones legitimately on ATT, you all have unlimited data plans that go with the phones, and thus don't have to worry about that.

right?

Concurred. I prefer Jive Talk over Meebo.

is there a way to prevent it from loging you out everytime youleave the screen? Its preetty useless otherwise

The only thing I don't like about meebo and other chat websites is safari needs to be on to chat. I like the yahoo IM where you use the sms text to chat. The only bad thing about this is that ATT contractee has only 200sms text per month.

So through Meebo every time you get an IM its recorded as a text?

nexteluser69: no.

so if I use jivetalk, each message sent would be recorded as a SMS?

If you are using safari to chat you are incurring data usage and not SMS text.
