I am trying to get the no-cost Office Message Alert (OMA) feature added to my personal Verizon cell phone account. After speaking with the Vzw business rep for my company, he's indicating that OMA cannot be activated on a personal account. I've read that other have had this feature added by a Vz business rep to a personal account, but am wondering if something has recently changed, or if I'm getting the run-around. I've sent several messages to by Vzw personal support and Vzw business support with no responses. The entry number to OMA is (888) 284-3811, but does not send messages to the handset unless the cell account is activated.

Alternately, can anyone recommend a 3rd party service that is inexpensive to achieve the same functionality? The best price I can find is $10-$15 per month, which is more than I prefer to pay, ex: www.pagica.ca. The most affordable is numericpage.com, but they are no longer taking new subscribers.

The basic desired functionality is for a service that will take numeric message from the PSTN and sends it to my @vtext.com email address or via SMS to my Vzw cell phone. This way, when I receive new voicemail messages at work, the PBX will dial the number to this service and send a 10 digit number that will get sent to my cell phone.

Thanks for any assistance...
