Missing Left Soft Key (KRZR)

hey guys,
today i used rsd lite to flash a drm to my brother's t-mobile branded krzr but ran into a problem :
1. rsd lite said "failed" and phone said "fatal error" (or maybe it was critical error)
2. the phone was frozen so i unplugged the usb cable
3. since the power on/off wouldn't work, i just took the battery out
4. when i powered back on , the drm was installed but now i'm missing the left soft key (it's just blank).
can someone help me out? how do i get the soft key back?
right now when i press the left soft key underneath the blank spot, a create message voice notes menu appears.
