W385 died, won't charge

First Motorola in 12 years of cell phone ownership. Gonna be my last methinks. First charge was fine, second charge was fine... After about 45 minutes from my last phone call, go for the phone and it is dead.

Plug it in to the charger, and have been getting the flashing empty battery symbol for the past two hours.

Was a nice-looking phone to boot...

Anybody else having similar trouble? I've read a bit about Motorola having quality trouble a few years ago, but it sounded like that was behind them.
