Getting OBEX back on Verizon/Moto V3m

Hi Forum users,
I just discovered that OBEX is disabled on my new Verizon phone, and I've heard it's possible to get it back by flashing the phone with an older version of the firmware. I am a mac user, but we have 1 PC in the house, although it's older and I don't think it has bluetooth (it does have a wireless card)... I do have access to a newer PC if this is neccesary. Can anyone here point me to the right direction on this? I am OK with voiding my warranty, I just want the ability to transfer my pics off the phone onto my computer, and maybe ring tones on to it. Thanks for any help you can provide this newbie!

I don't have a cable, don't know where I'd get one. Not sure how to 'flash', I'm a complete newbie. Don't know where I'd find the software either. Can someone instruct me?
