V3xx & MPT problem, please help.

I have installed the latest version of MPT (4.51c) on my windows vista machine
(Ultimate edition). The installation will install the Motorola USB Modem, I can see it in the device manager. When I connect the phone to the computer and start MPT, the software finds the phone and I am able to use all of the MPT functions. The problem is, once I disconnect the phone from the computer the drivers disappear, they are no longer there when I check device manager. The only way I can get MPT to function again is to uninstall MPT from the computer and then reinstall it, but of course as soon as I disconnect the phone again the cycle starts all over again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

The Device Manager by default hides any drivers that's not being used, so that's normal. The no-worky part is some other problem.

Thanks for that information, I did not know that. My V3 will connect every time with MPT but my V3xx will not. Thanks again for the reply.

A bluetooth adapter will fix it
