Weak Bluetooth for Headphones on 8830?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Have a 8830 on VZW with the latest update to get stereo bluetooth. If I walk with it hosteled on my leftside, it is choppy on my Sony DR-BT21G headphones. It cuts in and out or skips. If I have it on my right side, it does it much less.

Anyone else having problems?

It's most likely your headphones. BT performance will vary depending on the make/model that you choose.

Problems here too using S9 headset from Motorola.
If I clip the holster to my belt, I get interruptions in the audio. If I have the phone in my shirt pocket, works ok.
It could be that my gut shields the BT signal from reaching my headset, but I'd like to think it's the poor signal from the phone...

Yep...the performance difference between headsets is shocking.

Its really important to do your research when buying Bluetooth accessories.

My Sony headphones work great with the Q. I never have any interruptions. But with the BB 8830 it just keeps cutting in and out, occasionlly when I'm just sitting on the train not moving.

I upgraded a couple weeks ago to 4.2.2.148 which allowed me to have bluetooth stereo in the first place. Is it more recent than that?

Since I haven't found anywhere locally that stocks the Jabra 8010 stereo set, has anyone tried these with an 8830?
