Hey. I have an unbranded USA Nokia 5300. I was wondering how to get asian character support working on the phone, as I have music that uses asian characters and they all show up with [][][][][][].mp3 (aka doesn't support those characters). Now, I've been reading something about a dictionary pack that has to be installed, but I have no clue about what that is and such. Can anyone help me find a way to get asian character support working?

Hi, welcome to HoFo! You need to flash it w/ APAC version firmware that comes w/ the corresponding language pack.

K thanks, now lets say I flash it with the Chinese firmware. Will I lose support for english? Also, will i still be able to use my 850 band in the usa? (Sorry if they sound like stupid questions)

EDIT: I have chosen this product code, and am now upgrading the firmware to 5.0, as just a code switch didn't add any new languages.
