Is anyone having trouble with the vibration ring. In phone options, the slider is set to "ON" for silent and sound vibration. but when the phone rings it doesn't vibrate. Not sure watch the problem is. Hmmmm... this just happened after the 14 day policy ended I wonder if this is why only they have a 14 day return. Any ideas?

Nope. The vibrate feature doesn't work. I set the vibrate to ring & vibrate but the vibrate doesn't work. On Silent mode the vibrate switch is on and vibrate doesn't work. Turned the volume all the way down (that shouldn't be necessary, but did it anyway) and it doesn't work. I'll call Apple.

I called 800-Apple and explained the problem. He asked if I lived near an Apple store. I said, about 45min away. He suggested 2 options go to the Apple store or mail it Apple HQ. I elected to go to the store. I mentioned that I only had it for 2 weeks one day past the return policy. He said it's 14 days for the AT&T contract and 30 days for the iPhone. I thought it was the other way around, but I was happy he told the correct policy. So.... I went to the Apple store an looked around the store. I have never been to an Apple store before so it looked very nice. I asked someone for help and the clerk asked if I had an appointment. I said, No. I called the Support line and they told me to go to the store but did not mention anything about an appointment. So, the support person showed me how to make an appointment and gave me a tour of the Apple store showing the products for a 1/2 hour since my appointment was 1/2hr away. After the nice tour of the store it was time for my appointment with the genius. I explained the problem and he tried it and the vibration didn't work so he replaced it with a new iphone and gave a receipt and that was it. But what we did was open the new iphone and checked to make sure the vibration worked. and it does quite well. Customer service was very nice and I had a good tour of the store. So all is well.

Setting the slider in settings to vibrate "ON" in silent mode only tells the phone to vibrate when the silence switch on the left side of the phone above the volume rocker is moved to the 'silent' position.

Setting the slider in settings to vibrate "OFF" in silent mode tells the phone to not vibrate when the silence switch is moved to the silent position.

My first iPhone had a weird crash and it was replaced by a nice genius, no questions asked. I was happy with the service and my new iPhone has been flawless.
