So how many COR reps are using their COU lines on the iPhone?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

my buddy who works for a COR store was finally able to get his COU line activated on an iPhone plan. needless to say he's tickled pink.

I wonder how many other reps have made the switch as well?

When they show us that they respect us enough to give us the same handset discount that Apple employees get, I might contemplate getting one. Until then, I'm going to hold off downgrading from a 3G device to an EDGE phone

Hmm, come to think about it, I may just wait until they offer them free....really don't want one that bad.

I'd rather wait for the n95 (hopefully we will carry it).

The one co-worker that does want it, doesn't want to spend the money for a normal plan and iphone feature. But if you know how to get it on your cou and tell us, he would probably get it.

We have one person who bought launch day, adn he's keeping his number and not putting it on his COU

I spoke with our Nokia rep today and she said that we are getting the N95. (sorry if it is a bit off topic)

I know its definitely coming to the US but I still haven't heard anything that says 100% sure that we are getting the phone.

A couple of days ago our Nokia rep seemed pretty sure we are getting the N95. It will probably be next year, she didn't have a date.

There is another Nokia phone that might be coming out soon, I forget the number, but it might be called the "Aviator" it looks pretty cool. (but it is no N95!)

How much of a discount do apple employee's get on the iphone?

Posted by: biofilter69

my nokia rep said that it will be baased of the sales of the n75, he said that n75 sales are poor and untill they are boosted att wont consider selling it. so he is trying to get us motivated to start selling more n75s.

i am thinking it has more truth than anything else, i could see att not wanting to put the money in to a new phone with out having reps to sell it. Its not like the Iphone, people arent going to line up out side of your door the day its released.

It probably is true but its still a good line.

I doubt at&t will carry it as well mainly because, a) they don't know how to market a symbian based device and b) the s60 devices don't sell that well here in the US.

yeah, in my area our rep had a few RSC's asked to attend a meeting about the n75 and symbian to help us understand the advanced funcions of the system and to relate it to customers. It was a huge help my n75 sales went from 1 a month to selling every phone we get in stock. plus i got a free n75 out of the meeting also.

lol I'm jealous. I'd rather have an N75 than this POS Blackjack they make me use.

Posted by: biofilter69

god that phone was the first COU device i had, i thought i was the sh*t with it and then after 30 droped calls and the battery lasting mire hours i gave it up, best choice in phones i have made lol

Was it a pretty simple process getting the iphone on the COU line? I just ordered mine and it should be here shortly. Thanks

Posted by: JP Whoregan

Why would he need any luck? You can now put the iphone on your cou line.

I think he thinks you ordered it from the COU website.

Yeah, in that case, good luck

Posted by: izzat786

I just ordered it from Apple. Can I just go ahead and put my COU sim (that was in my Blackjack) in the iphone and go with it? My manager really wanted me to have a 3g device to show off at work, so I will have to switch between the phones. Is it as simple as a sim swap, or do I still need to activate through itunes?

Posted by: ivwshane

You will need to activate it which I think can be done through cou, after that sim swap away

Posted by: Stea1th

Just put the iphone on my COU. The process is really simple..although it took around
12 hours to finally activate. Everything is done through itunes, the only thing that sucks
about putting the iphone on your COU is that you have to use your own credit card.
It won't charge you anything but they need it I guess to register. I believe the whole
process is in a how-to on COU section. They give you a certain ZIP code and Social
to put in to activate it. Once that's done, you need to request to have visual voice
mail feature added to your COU line. That also is done through COU..but needs to
be approved for it to work. Till then you will be able to use voicemail but not
the visual one. Also, when I was activating the iphone i had to put my old
sim in the phone then after it was all done I had to put the NEW sim that
came with the iphone in.

Posted by: speedtec11s

I activated mine the other day via COU.

I didn't need a credit card number

I didn't have to use the sim that it came with.

Visual voicemail took 48 hours to activate...its pretty easy I should say.

How did you activate it through cou without going through Itunes?

COU even says you have to use Itunes???

I will be purchasing my iPhone today. We'll see how easy this process is.
