PH SIG ERR - Boot loader check before flashing MP?

When flashing things like MP do i need to check to make sure the boot loader are compatible? I ask this because i recently flashed my phone with a new MP (OnTheRize v2.0) and unable to flash back with my backup. Here is my original phone info:

Firmware - R452B_G_08.01.02R
Flex - GSTMTRIZRTCHS080

OnTheRize v2.0

Firmware - R452B_G_08.02.0BR_C
Flex - OnTheRize v2.0

When i try to flash to my back up from OnTheRize i get PH SIG ERR. The only way for me to get the phone working is flash it with OnTheRize MP again. I did some research and seem like the way to fix this is to find the "correct" boot loader version. Now i'm new at this so i am not sure what that mean. What do i look for in MP (and other flashing flex/seems) to make sure it is compatible with my phone (as far as flashing back and forth between MP and backup)?
