Some are hit and miss, but you can use getjar to download some games. http://www.getjar.com or http://wap.getjar.com from your BB.

There's a dude named Brandon something that wrote a PC app that converts JAR games to the ALX/COD format needed on a BB. I found his site via berryreview.com. In theory, practically any JAR game can be converted. In practicality, since MOST JAR games are designed to run on teeny tiny little cell phone screens, running them on the comparitively large screen of a BB is an exercise in frustration. For example, I converted DOOM.JAR (which isn't really Doom, it's more like Wolfenstein) and it runs and I can jog around shooting baddies, but it uses barely a quarter of my 8830's screen dimension.
