I am RMAing the 3rd one now and wiating for my phone. I am getting really cheezed off and i want to punch someone.

Is this normal?

no its not normal.. learn to use your phone correctly

I do use it correctly.

I mean, the worst thing i do is play solitare.

I mean, i dont think a screen protector can damage a phone, can it?

Ask for a different phone, CS is probably sending you refurbs anyways.

I sold mine 2 months after I got it but when I had it I hacked the hell out of it. Used it. and not one single problem with the screen. Took it to baseball games the whole 9. Not a single problem! It could be miss use

I have a friend who experienced the death of the touchscreen on a Cingular 8125, but that was after more than one year of use, and a lot of visit to the floor (he dropping his phone). I had one that was hard to press on the center, but I got it exchanged. The refurb I got was in perfect operating conditions so I sold it as I really hated the 8125. The person who bought it from me is still using it.

So like, shake them and stuff?

I've had my 8125 a lil over a year and the touchscreen just gave out. The screen is in perfect working condition otherwise, but the touchscreen works when it wants to. I've only dropped it 2 or 3 times.

i called cingy, they gave me a 100 dollar creedit because the RMA i got was broken and i was pissed.

The new phones keyboard peeled up and no cingular branding and the OS was messed up.

either way, they are sending me a 8525

ask them for a 8525! huge improvement over the 8125. My cousin has one, and it might have nice features, but the wifi is clunky and its soo damn slow

while, the 8125 RMA i got just turned off and wont boot period

should i call them and tell them or leave it and wait for the 8525 to come that there sending me

thats why i got rid of it

Posted by: cvpiftw

ok, im starting to question the refurbs frokm cingy

I have had my 8125 since Feb 2006.... after 18 months of use and only one FW update its really hosed, too. SMS and e-mail are down, won't open. Phone locks up if I use the browser much. When it locks up now a soft boot doesn't help, I have to leave the battery out for a few hours... its very frustrating.

I am a big fan of the HTC PDA's and will likely just bite the bullet and get an 8525... but I'm attempting a new FW load later today to see if I can revive this old workhorse. Have enjoyed the pasy 1.5 years of use.

Still... the iPhone is so damn sexy it is hard to ignore. I'm already used to gimp 2.5G service so maybe I won't notice that massive limitaiton?
