ATT 8925 (8525) IM question

I will be getting 8925 when it comes out, but I am pretty sure 8525 owners can answer this anyway.
I want to use AIM on the phone. How is the IM application on these phones? Does it come standard or I gotta install it separately? Does it use data or text messages like some older phone?

Thanks.

The OZ messenger will come sort of preinstalled. There will be an icon and the phone will automatically download the newest version of the messenger. It uses text messaging.

Is there a program that doesnt use text messaging? I will get an unlimited data plan so I'd rather use that.

Yeah, but if you want a decent one you'll be paying for it.

IM+ and Agile are the best ones, IMO.

I'm using Agile as well.

Those programs look good, but is there anything free?

Wirelessly posted (HTC-8500/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.12) UP.Link/6.3.1.17.06.3.1.17.0)

I am using the free UK AIM client. It isn't the easiest to use one handed as you have to touch the screen, it does use data, but it looks and acts just like AIM. If you search around the forums several people have left links for it. Other wise PM me your email and I can email you the install cab, its free, just tough to find.
