Non Oem usb Drivers

I have a kyocera kx5 and like the other guy i bought a usb cable off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....:MEWN:IT&ih=019

i have tried a bunch of the kyocera drivers from the kyocera website but it is still an "undefined device"

heh iv tried to figure this out for like 6 hours and im stuck

please please help me!

they didnt answer me

i guess ill try more of the drivers

so atleast one of those should work? i triued about 6 and gave up thinking it had to be a specific driver from some where else

oops, i guess they sent me an email some time today...but all it says is to ask kyocera :\

a total generic response

Then them f*ckers deserve negative or neutral feedback on ebay.

Might not help much but if you let others know that you cant find the drivers, then the product is useless.

it does not say they will give you drivers.....so whats the point in leaving them neg feedback? you got exactly what they said you would get.

well... i left my phone plugged into the cable they gave me while trying all of the kyocera drivers and it made my phone AND the cable very very hot so i disconected it and now the only time my phone works is when its plugged into the wall (read:my battery is messed up now)

i cant use the cable without drivers :\ lol

so all in all 5$ worth of crappy cable just cost me a 50$ battery

Well its like buying a Windows XP disk from Microsoft without receiving a key/serial number with it. Sure it will load on your cd drive, but without the key you cannot register or use it. Each key is specific to each disk they sale. The disk is useless and is no more useful then a blank CD.

The point is the seller should have knowledge on everything he sales or be able to obtain support to the customer so that the product should work as it is intended to.

The ebay ad also states that it is a kit...meaning more then 1 item is included.

im going to leave bad feedback today because it ruined my battery and out of the 3 emails i sent them every one was a reply from a script type thinger

not to mention i couldnt get it to work (maybe my fault but at least it shouldnt make my phone hot enough to possibley burn me just from being plugged in)

I arrived too late, but....

Same seller accstation/eforcity, 5 buyers ripped off....Nobody can connect their cellphones....

Could someone solved this problem?

Actually, it doesn't. It says you will get a USB Data Cable and they send you a USB - Serial Interface Cable. It's pretty much false advertisement so they do deserve negative feedback.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm also confirming that the Eforcity KX1, etc... Cable has caused the battery to malfunction upon plugging in.

Yes, And If I could I would open a paypal dispute. But, I bought it very several days ago. They shipped it to my friend's house in Florida and She shipped it to my home in Argentina. So, I left a + feedback before try the cable.

I'm almost get the drivers which work whit non oem cables, but these drivers are uploaded in a forum which requires at least 37 post to download.

The seller is a liar, and customer service is disgusting. I'll never buy to Eforcit* again. Be carefull because another sellers are from the same group than eforcit*.

Well please let me know when you get those other drivers!!! I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Eforcity today. They did not meet my demands, and yet again, sent a non-personal email just explaining how to return the product. They're false advertisers and lack customer support more than anyone I've ever dealt with. I hope the BBB will set them straight as I'd like to see a company with such deals, actually be a good company!

Add itrimming to the list of rip-off artists. I bought a cable for kx5/kx18 - also no drivers included, but I figured I'd get them off the kyocera site - NOPE - nothing works. And when I plug the cable into the pc it kills the phone and heats up the battery to the point you can't touch the phone.

Where it says Kyocera KX1 it shows "USB FTDI Driver" & Data Pilot cables are not OEM....

Good! I have a OEM cable of my Slider SE44. And it works more than good. But I don't want to pay 20 dollars for a cable because my cellphone price is
25!! jajaja. I'll change my cellphone into a....(Helio Heat)
