Unlocking 8525 question

Hey guys, I unlocked the 8525 from the Subsidy code from AT&T, all is well. Worked on on TMobile.
Now, if I ever update the ROM, will I have to enter this code again or is it hard written to the device??

You can update the ROM, including radio, and it will stay unlocked.
