Should I use Direct Push Mail?

Hi, does using Direct Push Mail drain more battery than the normal pop e-mail?
Also, I am using Google Apps For Your Domain and mail2web says if I enter in my information in their system that it will delete all of my mail in there. Is that possible, is there any work around for that? I'd like to keep my e-mail in both places if possible.

yes directpush does drain your battery a little but more then regular becase it has a constant connection with the server to get email right away when its recieved in the server.
i my self have mail2web and you can put the settings in your avtive sync and it will syc your device into the server
