Looking for new phone - basic questions

I'm looking for a new phone and the w300i looks like it might fit. Can someone answer these basic questions for me?

TIA!!

1. When the phone is shut (not flipped open, but still on) - does the display remain lit? I had (before it died) a Samsung ZX20 and the display remained lit - however, the Sync I have does not remain on and you have to hold down the volume button for like 5 seconds before it lights up...ANNOYING!
2. Is the charger easy to insert...the sync is a ******.
3. When someone calls - does it show their phone number AND the # they called from (mobile, home, etc...either the number or an icon)? Neither Samsung does this - but I would love it!
4. Does the address book add a new entry for every phone number or one entry with multiple entries?

I know these are basic questions - but I really just need something that I consider "user friendly"...I don't need any WOW features - just the basics...any help is appreciated!

I am on AT&T by the way...not sure if that matters...
