Sony Ericsson Gaming Chief Says PlayStation Phone Coming By "Christmas".... but not this Christmas

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphon...tmas-294296.php

If the phone is coming they should take some tips on the design from the "concept psp phone" over at just another mobile phone blog here . Because that swivel screen super thick design is just not cutting it.

I just wish it'll have LocFree Player and hybrid hex-band HSDPA, that we don't have to sit under wifi to watch

Looks interesting, but I think I'll stick with that 2nd-gen PSP. Can't wait till this Christmas (wait, 2nd-gen PSP is coming out September, right?).

A slimmer, sleeker, 8gb embedded memory 2nd-gen psp sounds great. Now i won't feel bad about buying a new better psp to replace mine since it has a dead pixel .

It has 8gb of embedded memory?! :| Wow, all the more reason to get it.

Sorry, I know this is getting off topic now, haha.

I thought more about the PSPhone though, and won't it have some battery problems? And I'm almost definitely sure that with the power supply they'll need for both calling and games, that the battery might need to be bigger (not necessarily, yeah I know, just guessing here) - and thus making the whole phone bigger and bulkier (not a good thing in my book)?

do not mean to drop a bomb on you but the new psp will NOT have an embedded 8gb memory. the actual difference between the psp and the second gen one is a little bit slimmer and the new gen has tv out feature. that's it!

I want one. I wonder which camera(if they use one at all) will be used?

Bet it wont have 850 on it

Here's the latest rumor about the PSP phone: Sony Ericsson PSP phone "definitely plausible"

I think it's pretty funny that the one 'patent pic' that they had of the psp phone to do a CG model of is the one that's going to give the wrong impression of the phone.

People are going to think, "That's a pretty stupid way to position the screen for playing". When all that pic was supposed to show that the screen can swivel for game playing purposes and then swivel back for phone use.

Heres is what the actual phone is supposed to look like

Posted by: ThorBlaze Dragon

the phone is supposed to be THICK and HUGE (at least the WxD would be similar with my HP 211, because of the UMD

Posted by: Yuujin

Posted by: enchancea

Wow that looks pretty nice
Can't wait for it to come out.

Looks too big.. AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Wirelessly posted (HP 211 and/or nokia N73: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))
