Is there anyway to disable Empower without removing it?

I am going overseas and don't want to risk additional surcharges using Empower for email. I am only gone for 10 days and don't want to remove the software from my blackberry pearl.

Is there anyway to temporarily disable it while on my trip? I plan to use email but without EMPOWER.

Go into Empower Options and go to the field that reads: Set as Default Viewer. You should have have 3 choices: All, None & Custom. Set it to none and when you receive emails they will all be plain text & Empower won't convert them.

Anthony,

There is no cost involved if you switch off the Images.

Only images are retrieved over the internet and you can continue using Empower with images turned off without incurring any cost for international usage.
