I leave for Bermuda in a few weeks and I have the Verizon World Phone. I already asked about a sim card and they said I dont need one since Bermuda has CDMA networks. Do u think I will be able to text in Bermuda?

I was in bermuda at the end of July using Sprint 8830 , voice no issue but BB and data service did not work, even after trying with sprint BB support to working while Bermuda.

** A guy who had a verizon 8830 who over heard talking about it had the same issue NO BB or data service.

Then what is the point of having the worldphone?

Does this apply to PINing as well? My understanding of the difference between sending a text message and sending a PIN message was that you could "PIN" from anywhere to anywhere as long as you have a signal.
