USB720 w/Airport WiFi to two Macs

I'm new to the forum and have searched for this topic but couldn't find this exact issue. Please direct me to the thread if I missed it. I also posted the same question to another area, as I'm not sure exactly where this topic belongs.

I'm trying out the Verizon USB720 aircard to see if I can connect both of my Macs to the Internet using Airport or computer to computer WiFi using one USB720 aircard modem.

Has anyone done this, or does anyone know the best way to get both Macs online at the same time using this aircard?

Please email me directly at resofnv@aol.com as I may not find my own thread again. I'm new at the forum thing, too.

Also, I see the term "tethering" used frequently in a way that sounds like it may mean getting more than one computer online from a single access card. Is this what "tethering" is? If so, how is this done with a Verizon USB aircard?

Thanks,
Micki Boyer

Thethering is using a cell phone to connect to the internet. You have a dedicated air card.

As for connecting two macs through one card, you can share your connection. Check under HELP on your Mac for now. I'll run through it later on my MacBook and get back to you.

Thanks for your answers. I'd never heard of tethering before, but then, mobile Internet is new to me, too. I've tried looking it up on Mac's "Help" but have had no luck in finding the right keywords to look it up. I've learned about lots of other things, though none of them useful for what I'm trying to do.

Thanks again,
Michele
