New Handspring Smartphone coming!

Was just checking out the Brighthand site, and they have a summary of the Handspring financials that were released today.

One interesting point was that they are planning on releasing a significantly new smartphone. No information or pics of the phone, but it looks as thought they have an agreement with Orange in Eurpope, and will also be releasing a new phone in other markets.

handspring going UIQ...that would be interesting since all of their PDA/phone units are already Palm/OS.

I would think that Handspring is staying with Palm OS - I did not see anything in the various articles that say anything about UIQ (which I thought was related to Symbian). Where did you see this.

I would expect that they would be releasing a new Treo through Orange (a European wireless carrier).

I could be wrong though (it won't be the first time!).

I guess I associate the word smartphone with UIQ... that was my bad actually. Smartphone could mean any PDA/phone combo.
