T-mobile Dash or Wing

First of all, This site is great! There is a ton of info here and I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it!

I'm kind of stuck between these two phones. I would like to have a phone that I can access the internet (HTML) and to my email. It has to be a phone first and a web browser second. I really don't need it to do anything else other than the two things mentioned but, I wouldn't mind getting any extras.

That being said, I think I narrowed it down to these two phones. So which one would be easier to use or is a better phone all around?

Also not to sound like a complete newbie but, what is the difference between the EDGE networks and 3G?

Thanks for any help!

From my experience, the Wing lags a lot and is quite slow.

Have you had the chance to use the dash yet? Any comments on it?

Yeah, I'm probably going to buy it within the week. That said, I haven't used it in a while. I need to go check it out and make sure I can type ok and everything.

Well, I decided on the dash. I ordered it and got it for free so, that was the deciding factor! I went to the store and checked them both out. I figured out that I don't need the touchscreen and the upgraded camera on the wing was great but, it started lagging big time. So, the dash it is! Can't wait

Please let me know how it is.

Well I got the dash. I've only had it for like 3 days now but, so far so good. I got a 2gb memory card and I put some songs and videos on it. The only thing that could be better would be the spacing between the keys. The qwerty keyboard is kind of small but, other than that I'm incredibly happy with my decision.

I haven't done any of the hacks yet...but, I plan on getting tcmpc(sp?), the nec emulator, and opera mini web browser. I'm still playing around with the phone for now.

Hope this helps you guys out.

I like the Dash, but I've definitely decided to get the Curve instead.
