It's college gameday! Woo-hoo!

What games are you watching today? Who are you rooting for? Any predictions for the season?

My big game today is Georgia vs. Oklahoma St., 6:45 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2. (I'm a Georgia alumnus.) I'm not going to make any predictions about it... we'll just have to see what happens. But I'll admit I'm a bit nervous.

I love this time of year!

I didn't go to a school with a football team, more soccer and basketball and I really never got into college football. I do watch it and it is fun when you bet on the games.....

I am psyched for the NFL and NHL seasons to begin though.....

Damn, now I am in the mood for wings!

DeSean Jackson is a ****ing beast!

Posted by: pen25

yes he is. from what i understand OU has a couple stud qb's didnt really get a chance to watch sports center the last couple days but i can see this shaping up to be a strong and strange year for allot of teams.

Posted by: i880/8525junkie

Let's see OU try and work against the Hurricane Defense!!

GO U!

Posted by: pen25

HA! boooooooooooooo OU haha serious im not a fan of OU. too many band wagoners. been a bear fan for a long long time. thick and thin. OU and OSU fans are both on again off again depending on the tide.

Go Horns!! I am actually worried abou this week's game vs TCU. TCU has been known to pull the upset against Big 12 teams.

My Georgia Bulldogs are playing Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks this weekend.

This one gets personal.

Wow! I could've said something much worse...and true...like the fact that I once went to Athens...the only cool thing people did outside that campus was do burnouts in the Sonic Driveway...I was not impressed...

Are you talking about the same Athens? -- The Athens that produced R.E.M., the B-52's, Widespread Panic and Danger Mouse/Gnarls Barkley? The Athens of the 40 Watt Club, the Georgia Theater and over 25 bars within walking distance from campus? The Athens of 93,000+ rabid Bulldog fans on any given Saturday in the fall?

Clearly we're talking about two different Athens.

Any predictions for the day, guys? We've got...

Miami vs. Oklahoma (on now! -- should be Oklahoma by two touchdowns)
West Virginia vs. Marshall (on now! -- should be West Virginia by 10)
LSU vs. Virginia Tech (LSU is going to crush them! -- two touchdowns at least)
Georgia vs. South Carolina (Georgia by one touchdown )
Penn State vs. Notre Dame (Penn State by a field goal)
Texas vs. TCU (Texas by a touchdown)

I know there are others, but those are some of the big ones.

Well..for once...every major college has like 20 bars near campus, #2. I'm not a big rock fan so thebands have little revelance to me. #3. I was talking about Athens as a whole...Clearly...you've never been to Georgetown...where THAT is a party school...or Miami...or UCLA...or even UF..ur friendly neighbors...Athens is nice..but it's not top notch...

Posted by: i880/8525junkie

Miami is holding...31-13 OU ahead...Kirby freeman SUCKS! correction..38-13...another OU passing touchdown...Kyle Wright is a much better quarter back...Penn State will win by more then a field goal and Michigan BETTER WIN!

party school? oh you have never heard of chico state. which retired from playboys party school list since it topped it every year. around an hour east of sac nothing to do cept drink. then theres ucsb(uni cali satna barbara) which basicly had to shut down thier dorms cause too many freshman went on academic prob cause of missing too many classes. you didnt goto a sor or frat house to party you went to the dorms. sad to say thats not the case anymore. many many many more campus's are going dry county

Posted by: i880/8525junkie

Urban...stop hiding...I think I won my prediction of the Gamecocks over the Bulldogs...

But nah..ny brother arguyes that Miami will be crappy this year...Oklahoma is an absolute great team...but I kno Miami can Beat Virginia Tech and Florida State...they just need to Bench Kirby Freeman, Start Kyle Wright and go recruit one of the Elite 11 Quarterbacks for next year's recruiting class...we ARE Quarterback U. for a reason...

Posted by: Mashie

well it was good to see the Longhorns wake up and start playing in the 2nd quarter. Now if we can keep that momentum going for the rest of the season.....

I was suprised how good OU was vs Miami. If things hold true, OU might be the toughest team Texas faces all year.

Exactly! Miami despite that performance will be a Top 10 Defense so for Oklahmoa to throughly whip him shows a lot..then again..Other Kenny Phillips...the secondary played horribly...very timid in their actions...OU Will be the toughest team Texas plays all year..SAM Bradford so far looks good...

How 'bout dem Wolverines & Fighting Irish?!!
