My V6 MAXX Dead....Help!

While I was doing some "seem" comparisons with the new V3xx quad band firmware I inadvertently replaced the wrong seem (011E-0001)on the V6 with the one on the V3xx. Now the phone won't start. I was able to get it in flash mode and installed my back-up. Same problem. I reflashed with MP. Same problem. When I start the phone with the flip open I can see it's trying to start. It goes as far as showing the Motorola logo on the outer screen then shuts off and restarts. Now the battery is dead and it will not charge.
Viewing the original seem from the V6 I can see a lot of numbers. The one from the V3xx is totally different. Should I say goodbye to my beautiful V6? My gut feel is I need a new phone. RAZR2 V8 perhaps?

^^^ No, it's WAY too early to give up. My phone "SEEM-ingly" died on me back in March and I, too, ended up depleting the battery trying to reflash my backup MP.

Locate a fresh BZ60 battery by either buying a new one at an AT&T store or borrowing a spare from a friend with a V3xx. A separate desktop charger is very handy to have when you can't charge the battery in the phone for any reason.

Keep flashing the MP to the phone. Eventually, it should start working again. You've already observed that it is "trying" to boot up past the Motorola splash screen, which leads me to believe that you are at least able to reload some of the MP files onto the phone. Sometimes it can take 4-5 tries, so make sure you have a second, fully-charged battery on hand.

If you are unable to flash the MP back onto your phone, you may have a motherboard or other hardware failure.

I've got a desktop charger on order but it may take a few days to get here. Comes with an extra battery. I was wondering why the battery won't charge through phone. Any ideas?

It might be a temporary issue with the mainboard that needs like a small jump start by using a fresh battery as USSS stated. Wait for your desktop charger and hope for the best.

Always be very careful what seems you edit, and always make a backup. What tool did you use?

I have a back up of the original V6 seem. I used MoSt. I'm biginning to suspect it is a hardware issue as I've already installed the backup I did prior to the phone going dead as well as reflashing the original MP. Everything appeared to install properly but phone won't start. Lets see what happens when I get the charger. Thanks for your suggestion.

It will take a few days to get the desktop charger. Could not find one here in Canada so I got from US. I had a thought. The original seem that got replaced on the V6 (011e-0001) contains the IMSI #. (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) I think this # is also imbedded in the SIM. If during start up the 2 numbers don't match then the phone is disabled. Possible? I know it's a shot in the dark.
