I can flash but cant Flex

I am having trouble Flexing,
I tried in both RSD and multi Flashflex
In both i get an error that my phone is in flash mode.
the question is how do i get it into flex mode?

i went to http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/ to get a .hs and .shx files that said they were for my carrier (rogers)
I was able to use the .shx but the .hs (two of them) never did work (because of the above error)

any ideas?

you need to read thru this guide. putting a new flash or flex on the phone is the same process - there is no "flex" process.

Thanks for the link, I did try that, it flashes okay but when i repeat the process for the .hs file it gives me the same error, 'phone in flash mode'

What i did was turn the phone on using the * and # then opened the .shx file and clicked start. No problem

Phone turned off, so i turned it back on with * and # and loaded the .hs file and then clicked start, it was at this point that i got the error...

what flex and why were you trying to redo this with?

I tried using that .shx file and when using RSD lite it works up until the checksum on 'group 2',
I tried using the .shx with Multiflex also, and i did not get an error, but then when it was done, i tried to turn the phone on....and nothing happned, same as before-can just go to bootloader.

any ideas?

That's the wrong file, you need to use this one instead to fix your phone:
V3_Rogers_Firmware_R374_G_0E.41.C3R_B_PDS005_GSMV3 VCRGR01NA12.shx (68.2 MB)

Not sure where to find it but try searching. I know someone at the store/service centre put this one on my phone when I had to get it flashed.

SHX is a superfile a.k.a. monster pack. it will flash and flex the phone back to oem. The flexlash file (from motomodders) u were having problems with, I had the same problem with that file myself too, so I think it is just the file was like that. a true Flex is a .hs file, somebody converted that file so thats probaly where the problem lies. Anyways take it to a dealer, they will flash with the file above as I quoted for u.
