HTC TyTN II CLICK or the HTC S730? CLICK

This is a hard one for me.

Both have GPS, WM6, QWERTY, WIFI, 400 MHz Processor, 3G, Quadband, ETC:

I have a SDA as my regular phone, so the HTC S730 would be nice being it's near the same size and packs more power and features.

The TyTN II looks decent in size too, but what I really like is that the TyTN has 128MB SDRAM & 256MB ROM. RAM being the more important for me.

But I will be making a huge sacrifice if I get the TyTN. The sacrifice being that PPCs can't auto record calls using PMRecorder, Vito or any other app.

On the other hand I use my phone more for Email(Exchange & POP), Texting, Calendar/tasks, carrying data files like word, pdf, etc: than actually talking. When I do talk, it's usually on the road via BT headset.

The TyTN II seems like the better choice, but I will surely miss PMRecorder which has been a life saver.

BTW ... I will be selling my Ipaq 6945 as I have mostly only used it as a GPS for my car.

So what do you guys think?

You need to think about what you like in a phone. I used the Kaiser and had the 8125 and 8525 and would never get another slide out keyboard. On the other hand, I really have issues with WM6 standard and like touchscreens.

Well I'm used to both versions of WM. Look at my phone list. What did you dislike about slideout keyboard? I never had one before.

the HTC slide out keyboard is the best qwerty I've ever used.

I've used both smartphone and ppc phone and in the end its hard to go back to smartphone after ppc phone and give up the touch screen etc.

I have both an HtC s630 Cavalier and Att Tilt (Kaiser/Tytn2) and i prefer the Kaiser.

I thought maybe the s730 would combine the best of both but ends up seeming like the wort of both as its thicker then the s630 and i think not as large of a screen and it doesn't have a touch screen like the kaiser and def not as large of a screen.

the idea of a smartphone with slide out keyboard liek the ppc phones is a good idea and it has to have the # pad on teh front as there is no touch screen # pad but its still a nice design.

its not new though as there was the s710 and this is just the first one to be 3g and wifi which is great but its almost like 2 little too late as there are new designs and phones now.

anyway long story short definately go with the Tytn2 especially as if you are on ATT and due for an upgrade or whatever you can get it cheaper then the s730 which is a less expensive phone but its import only right now.

it may come to att its rumored but until then and its cheaper then the Tilt then go with that. If they are same price i'd go with the Kaiser. only if the s730 was a bit cheeaper would i consider it over the Kaiser and even then i'd miss the full functionality of a ppc phone and the touch screen and that is even for a light user.
