I have been playing with the V8 for a while now and have several issues.

I have read the threads and have sen some incredible talk times can someone list the features they have enabled/disabled, I seem lucky to get a half day out of a full charge.

More importantly I am having a problem with the time. AutoUpdate worked for the first few days but stopped working and when I go into manually set the time (as I have been for years on my 3i) the time phone refuses to save the changes and it default to 12/31/69 @ 7:30pm.

Any Suggestions?

I have exactly the same issue, when i first turned on my phone it would not display the date in my screen no matter what i did, then i wanted to use the exchange sync feature and the menu blocked completely... So i did a full reset and guess what.. I saw the date in my screen but now i am not able to change the date or time anymore.

I called the motorola helpdesk here in the netherlands and the guy told me he had the same problem with this time thing and advised me to return the phone and get another one...

So really **** but i will change it this afternoon and lets see how that one works..
