Never had a 9300i but I think I heard that it has camera and wifi. If this is important to you then absolutely get 9300i over the 9300. Also btw the 9300 has no vibe profile feature. Not sure about 9300i. Google could really be a help to you here.

The two main differneces other than the new look is that the 9300i has built in Wifi and predictive text on the cover part of the phone. There are a few other differences, but those are the main ones. If you have the means, I would strongly recomend the 9300i just for the Wifi, because it works a whole lot faster than EDGE on my phone and it works better for accessing your home network.

I know Im coming in late, but I just got a 9300i today so I felt I could share my new found knowledge in case someone comes in later with same question.

9300b -
USA Version is the 9300b, has 850/1800/1900 Capability
No Wi-Fi, No Camera
Bluetooth 1.1\950mah Battery
GPRS/EDGE Class 10

9300i
Is really a Euro Phone as it does not have the 850 Band. Has GSM 900/1800/1900. OK for TMOBILE, IF having 850 ROAMING capability is not an issue in your area.
NO CAMERA
GPRS/EDGE Class 10
Wi-Fi, one of the few phones I have seen with both 802.11b and 802.11G (of course the above statement will not be valid long)
Same Screen as 9300b
Slightly Darker Color then 9300b Case
Comes with a Nice Charging/Stand with Synch Button
Bluetooth 1.2, better Voice Handling and better battery life
This is an interesting find. While the battery is still called a BP-6M on both models, the 9300i battery is rated at 1100 mah and the 9300b is rated at 950 mah. They are interchangeable, as are all accs.

There are some minor software uipgrades, nothing to right home to Mom about. But the big differences are listed above.
