Hello all!

First off, let me say that I am completely new to all of this. Before purchasing the orange 9900 last night, I spent almost 3 years with the Motorla E815 and the standard ringtone.

I absolutely love this phone so far. I spent all night reading through hundreds of posts on this and another cellphone forum, and I am still lost on a couple things.

So I have came to the conclusion that for custom ringtones I am editing in Acoustica Audio Mixer, then emailing them to my phone and saving as ringtones. It has worked great so far. I can put full-length MP3s and photos on my 2GB microSD card and listen to them in the "Vcast Player" on the phone.

Now my question. Is there anyway to make these full-length MP3s ringtones? Or use them for alarms? I am assuming not, since they are stored on the card (too large to keep them all on the phone's memory.) But is there a way? Also, there is no way to transfer these 30 second ringtones I make by the SD card is there? I have to either pay the 25 cents each email or use the data cable crap? No way to use the SDcard?

And if not, what else does the micro SD card do for me besides store MP3's to listen to? Is that it?

you can use bitpim and either a cable or BT, put you must use bitpim to get them on the phone, unless you email them

you can use bitpim to setup the index on the phone and have ringers on the sd card, put again you have to use bitpim this is HACK of the OS,

the only software available for writing rigntones into the phone and/or creating/correcting the index file is bitpim

and any ringer longer than 30 sec is a waste of memory space, unless you shut off voicemail, because the call automatically goes to voicemail at 25 seconds and the phone stops ringing
