SX1 Observations

When looking at this pic LINK
Do any of you think that it will be difficult to see the Letters next to the number buttons when in a dark environment?
I'm sure there are LED's behind the number buttons, but it doesn't look like there are any behind the letters.
Maybe light spilled from the display will illuminate the letters.

Just curious about peoples thoughts on this.

I apologize Synncere.

I thought I read all the threads here on SX1.
If I had known, I would NOT have posted this.

There is a new german article about SX1 today:
http://www.xonio.com/features/feature_10468669.html

For those who can't read german, click 'Fotogalerie...' and have a look at some new pics.

Some info from the article is:
- SX1 will be available in August
- It plays MP3 through the speaker
- It will have 24MB memory available for the user, even afte the OS has been installed

Hopefully some german users can correct me if I'm wrong.

Thx Molna

Thanks for the post Molna. Unless it's the quality of the pics, the newer design looks brighter/cleaner.

Oh it sucks waiting for new products.

Sorry, have to correct myself there
I overlooked the german word 'acht', which means 8. SX1 will have 8MB available for the user. Sorry I was wrong

The difference that I see is that the letters are on the actual buttons now, and that the buttons match the phone's color.

I like the fact that the letters are on the actual buttons now

i like this "new" look of the fone...it looks brighter and sharper, and the keys actually look very high-class compared to 3650 and the key pad of P800.

also, on pic #15, are those the actual sizes of the fone and BT? i mean do they actually have the same length?

If anyone wants to pre order the SX1... Celluloco is taking pre orders in approximately 45 days. The est cost is $900USD. Pricey but hey what mobile isn't at initial release... in time it will go down... how much more some of you wonder? There has been many convos and prices posted in the forum so check out the other SX1 threads. This is gonna be one hot fone!

So, here some words of a German about Xonio.com:
Siemens said, that the SX1 will be availabl in August, that's rigth. We only can hope that it will be middle of July or.....
Than, the coulour of the LED's behind the number buttons are now blue, before they were green!
From the 176 X 220 pixel display, 176 X 208 will be used for Symbian, the other 12 pixels are for the status of the mobile, like network, BT oder IrDA and so on.....
Then the joystick has the same silver coulour like the SX1 cover, that's new, too and the icons of Symbian now look more like Siemens!
And now, a price: As the product manager of Siemens said, the price will be ca. 600 €uros.
With a SIM card (I don't knoe the english word for "Vertrag" at the moment) it should be cost 300 - 350 €uros.

Greetings, Fabi

yes... thats it. BTW in Germany phones with contract are unlocked too. You can make a contract and use the phone with another SIM.

I've tested the SX1. And I took a few photos. The letter near the numberkeys changed till now a few times.
My last information is, that there are printed on the numberkeys.
A lot of photos are online, or have you seen before the Nokia inside the SX1. :-)
Translate the articel with a click on the UK flag.
